The Sceneweb archive is a national digital archive for all professional Norwegian performing arts. The archive was developed and is managed by Performing Arts Hub Norway. Collecting, preserving, and digitising information are done in collaboration with The National Library of Norway.
The main purpose of the Sceneweb archive is to provide users with one destination for information on Norwegian performing arts. With Sceneweb, we wish to contribute to documenting, preserving, and relaying Norwegian cultural inheritance, and to increase the knowledge of Norwegian performing arts.
Our vision is that the Sceneweb archive will one day contain a complete overview of works, artists, organisations, venues, and awards within Norwegian performing arts, with corresponding digital materials such as photos, posters, playbills, articles, and video.
At the webpage sceneweb.no you can search the archive. The webpage has the following main categories: Organisations, Productions, People, Venues, Awards. We also have many photos, posters, playbills, videos, and articles. The page exists in Norwegian- and English-language versions.
Please note: For the time being, we work on a new design for sceneweb.no. The archive's dissemination and search functions will be improved.
Do you have questions regarding our archival work, or do you wish to deliver archival materials to us or to The National Library of Norway? In this case, you are welcome to contact editor and adviser Elisabeth Leinslie, by e-mail redaksjon@sceneweb.no, or phone (+47) 99 16 76 27.
