Norway-Italy Dance Residencies
The Italy–Norway Dance Residencies exchange is a collaborative initiative coordinated and supported by the New Italian Dance Platform , PAHN – Performing Arts Hub Norway, the Italian Cultural Institute in Oslo, and the Embassy of Norway in Rome, in collaboration with eight residency partners from both countries:
Bærum Kulturhus – Dance in Southeast Norway, BIT – Bergen International Theatre, DansiT – Choreographic Center, Davvi – Centre for Performing Arts, Anghiari Dance Hub, L’arboreto – Teatro Dimora, Fabbrica Europa, and Fondazione I Teatri.
Launched in 2024, this pilot project enables mutual residency exchanges for Italian and Norwegian dance artists, encouraging artistic collaboration between the two countries. We are happy to announce a new period for 2026 and 2027.
Mutual Exchange – New Perspectives and Networks
The exchange program, which includes both Norwegian and Italian partners, facilitates a mutual exchange that strengthens the ties between the performing arts communities of the two countries. It provides artists with access to new creative impulses and professional networks.
The project opens new doors for artistic partnership and establishes a solid foundation for further international collaboration within the field of dance.
The Open Call for 2026 residencies is now live, and the application deadline is March 2, 2026.
